Henkel showcased at Walmart Sustainable Product Expo

This April Walmart hosted its first-ever Sustainable Product Expo, a three-day event aimed at expanding sustainable products, reducing waste and promoting recycling. Walmart invited multiple global companies, including Henkel, to the Expo held at its headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. Walmart also invited Henkel to participate in meetings with Walmart leadership and manage an exhibition booth to showcase our sustainable consumer products and industrial adhesive technologies, such as our innovative low VOC, toluene-free shoe adhesives.

The booth attracted many visitors including managers from Walmart's footwear business sector. Henkel’s successful presence at the Expo was the result of collaboration among Henkel team members from different functions, business units and Henkel sites. The project was led by Pete He, Senior Research Fellow- Sustainability from Scottsdale, Arizona and Erin Johnson, Key Account Manager- Shoe Adhesive from Bridgewater, NJ. Henkel’s Walmart business development team, led by Brent Horn, Vice President of Sales, provided great support and also attended the event.

“Henkel’s commitment to sustainability was well-received by Walmart’s leadership as well as the companies participating in the Expo,” said Pete He. “Our sustainable products and technologies were made visible by the collaborative efforts among our team members. This collaboration helped to reinforce Henkel’s global sustainability leadership and pave the way for future incremental business growth.”
